New (ehh.. modified) Frostbolt

Well, since I’m going to have a bit more time now, and during these days that are, we could say, national holidays so I’ll be free (no work, yay! no wow, pfft~!), I could finally make my own theme based on the one I was using before. If any of you sees weird things here, just refresh the cache of your browser and everything will(should) be fine.

I also decided to put on top the race, class and server of my character because I noticed a couple of days ago that there’s someone else named Tarasque on WoW. I do remember when I registered my char name, and after looking on Thottbot, there was nobody registered under that name… so the other dude came after me T.T So, I’ll hope that clears any confusion.

On the upcomming days I’ll be launching (finally) my own board system. I don’t know if it will be used by, as for me, I’ll be using it to keep in touch of a few friends ;)

Before I end this entry, Blizzard has said that the new client that we were going to download won’t be ready anytime soon, because it’s more difficult than they planned. That was posted on WorldofWarcraft.com Site:

Downloading the Stress Test Client
- Indoflaven on 10/29/04

The client download will now be available to closed beta testers when we announce further details regarding the upcoming stress test here on WorldofWarcraft.com. It will not be available early as we originally indicated in the email we sent yesterday. While our initial plan was to offer the stress test client for download to closed beta testers ahead of time, this is no longer possible due to the extensive maintenance being performed on our servers. We apologize for any confusion this has caused. Please enjoy your weekend!

The End of the World?

After the surprising announcement that was made yesterday by Blizzard (which I posted here), I must say that it lowered our moods. Last night was special: for the first time since I began playing I didn’t really felt like hunting or leveling… it would take a while for me to reach 37, and a lot more for 40. I’m not sure of what is going to happen after 5:00pm EST today… but I’m like sad that I didn’t reach the goal I had :(
On the eMail, which has been posted on many fansites by now, it says that those that played on Closed Beta aren’t going to lose their items or characters. Something to point out is that Blizzard is calling the next phase “Stress Test”, rather than Open Beta. I do remember reading somewhere a post of someone of Blizzard saying that “we would have a chance to play with those of our friends that couldn’t make it to CB”. The future is uncertain, even tho I “might” be able to play on the next phase, I’m worried for retail and the Localized Rules. We also have to download… again… a full new client that is supposedly going to be launched after the servers are taken down (and it seems that it will be down for a few days, maybe a week?). What makes me more sad is that I had the upcomming days free (national holidays) :(
Anyways, I need to try not to get down… lol. Last night there were some massive PvP, a lot of towns were attacked by both sides. I was going to participate in a raid but before it began I left… too much graphic lag for me and it was kinda frustrating. I did get a kill count, at least, of +12, many of them died several times (like a single dude dying three or so times). Some of them were hunters, rogues, mages, among other classes.

It’s funny how you can see people on stealth and chase them. It has been done to me before.. so I think that the others that have done it to me also laugh :P The second picture, you see that big red arrow pointing at me… with a message like: “hey, I’m here, hit me!”, was casted by a hunter, first time ever since I played. I killed the dude once, then, before ending the second time he used that on me T.T I killed him like twice or so after it happened (so you can say he died at least four times).

Now, not everything was PvP last night, there were a couple of celebrations (even tho numbers of people that were celebrating were low…)

Also, before logging off (yeah, after chasing and killing horde got bored because as time passed it was hard to get them, at least alone, and as I said wasn’t really on mood of hunting), cleaned everything, sold a few stuff, made poisons, dropped Engineering and learned Herbalism (so now my rogue is Miner & Herbalist) so I could be able to get Fadeleaf, which is a component for Blind Skill, sold a lot of ores and bars that I had, switched from bow to gun, which I got on a quest in STV, among other things. I’m hoping I can download the new client before tomorrow ends… or else I will have to wait even more.

Woops! Can’t believe I forgot to say that I also bought my guild’s tabard, which costed 1g (red with gold)

I’m grateful that I could participate and get into Closed Beta, I would also like to thank all of those that helped, specially Slatter (aka Slatsky)!

Peace out! Tarasque will remain in the shadows until he can come back to the light again. Keep in mind that this is not really a farewell, this is just a small stop until things come back again :)
