Since my druid was born, as an alt, the whole idea of him was to be a “support” role. At early levels I focused in the Restoration tree to be able to heal as much as possible, having things like Nature’s Swiftness and Innervate, and I can’t tell you how good I felt by having Innervate. Even after patch 1.8 came live, and druid talents got reworked, I remained with most points in Restoration and the others that were left were in Feral; the basics to be able to tank on instances when it was needed. So far my playstyle has been most PvE (instances) and very, very little PvP.
A couple of days ago a friend was talking to me about his spec, he was 0/30/21, telling me the awesome it was in PvP and the good he could do in PvE, even tho he didn’t have innervate he said he never ran out of mana (which is one of the problems I got). I began investigating and it seems that the build 0/30/21 is one of the most popular among the druid community.
Today is the day. It costed me 20G to respec and try the 0/30/21 build. I wrote down numbers to see what changed, and I’m posting them. Before I was 0/15/36, druid with Innervate (top of Restoration) and up to Feral Charge in the Feral Tree.

Tonight I’ll see if I can try doing a couple of Battlegrounds to see if I notice a difference. My main concern is running out of mana, so lets see how that works. For the record, I did a test and I could regenerate, with the items I got so far, around 3k mana when I used Innervate on myself.
To check out how I distributed the talents, check out my profile, the link is on the right side.

Phfft, blogspam sucks.
My girlfriend plays druid(s) and is actually going for a 14/32/5 build, pure feral with no healing ability (for PvP).
The build is something similiar to (if not exactly): http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/druids2/talents.html?01400530100000005052001323202151050000000000000
I think the beauty of Druids, as well as my favourite class, Priest, is that with a respec you can go from DPS to Healer, keeping the game fresh and interesting as time goes on.
BTW, your blog is awesome. I’m posting about getting a hat and stuff for my new character (he’s pushing past 30 this week on a new server). I’m yet to run the end-game stuff since I get burnt-out at around the 45-48 level mark. Hopefully this character will get to 60!
I’ve respeced so many times, it’s not even funny. When i was a newb and had just started playing, i was a mix of things. When I hit level 35 or so I re-speced into full feral, but messed up my talants and had to re-spec again. Then, after many many many times of trying to get people in my groups to let me tank, I realized that nobody wants a druid as a tank or DPS, they’d rather have a warrior with plate armor and a sheild or a rogue, so I re-speced again. once patch 1.8 came out… It was too tempting to try out moonkin form. I did, and hated it (I still stand that i hate moonkin, and the only thing good about it is the dance) So after about a day or so, I re-speced again. My 60 druid’s build right now is 0/20/31 (Balance / Feral / Restro) so I can do instances, and still be able to put up an okay fight in Battlegrounds. I now know that 20 points into feral isn’t enough. And I was considering re-specing AGAIN into 0/31/20. But, I was talking to a pretty knolageable druid from my rogue alt, and he told me about a great build that I would love to try (which is all feral and strength, which is somewhere along the lines of 10/31/10)– But I’m very frightened at the cost (And saving for my epic won’t allow me to re-spec again, unless it’s nessasary). With all that being said, I REALLY REALLY REALLY need you to keep us updated about how you do in instances / PvP, because unless i get some feedback, i’m going to be gimped for ever, and you wouldn’t want a fellow druid to be gimped, DO YOU?!

Hi, nice blog and nice post: I’m very interested in a feedback about your new respec!
I’m a 25 lvl Druid (my first wow pg ever!) who’s spending a lot of time through the web in search of a good build. The most time i’m playing alone, I want do more instances (and beeing the healer of the party is ok) and I ‘m looking forward to PVP. My fighting routine: 1.root’em 2. nuke’em 3.bear/cat fight’em 4. heal! 5.bear/cat fight’em to death
So I have a question and a request:
-The question
Now I’m spending points on a 17/13/21 build (I’ll get NS but no Innervate), what do you think about it? It’s better that I respec and start building the 0/30/21 now?
-The request
Could you tell us on which talents are your spending points and how many points for every talent, please?
Thank you very very much indeed, I hope I’m not annoying you too much with this post and sorry for my ogrish english!
