Interesting.

I always fall in love with the concept of “good guy” being strong and holding his own with typical “bad guys”. Let me explain.

I loved my very first character. Human paladin. Unfortunately, my idea or imagination expected something completely different than what Blizzard implemented. Sure I understood I was a support class, and off tank, and I did those things. But at the same time I didn’t expect the boredom, lack of range and lack of dps (there is a retribution talent tree, but that doesn’t do didily squat) to kill the class the way it did for me.

True I could of rolled a warrior, rogue, or mage for dps. But again I always felt that the “good guy” class definately has it’s advantages, and whose to say they can’t provide their own form of dps?

Anyways, then I tried the druid. Thinking to myself; “here’s a class that’s good and can provide a series of roles, healer, mage, tank and rogue. They shun arcane magic and are in tune with nature.” True they could never replace a warrior with their better aggro, pary, shields, blocks, etc. and a rogue with his superior dps. But I figured a druids strength’s lied in his flexability.

But unfortunately the only “feral” gear I see is the PvP gear. All other Teir sets for druids focus on healing or magic attacks. It’s like the druid is pigeon holed into being a heal bot or caster. Where is the flexibility? What’s the point of providing shapeshifting abilities if you can’t find gear unless you PvP 24/7 for months? It’s like Blizzard intended the druid to heal or cast, even though they provide shapeshifting abilities to the class for tanking or dps.

Perhaps I’m wrong. But I sure wish I could be proven so.

Well that’s my rant. On a side note, I’m pleased your having fun with your druid. I think that’s what’s most important.

Myself being a mage and knowing pretty much every aspect of every class (I always say knowing your enemy is a major part to killing him ^ ^) Druids are just that. They are meant to heal and heal over time, which they do very well with. They outdo priests in heals over time and almost equal priests if not bypass them in heals. Really though, they gave the shapeshifts to druids for ADAPTABILITY. Tank suddenly goes down? You can switch to bear and buy the group ALOT more time. Scout mission or farming with rogues? You got stealth to tag along, which is also useful in PvP for hanging back and waiting for that lovely mage at 10% hp to fall back. (It’s annoying >.> lol) Personally I see no reason for Druids to complain. They can adapt to any situation and if they are outmatched, they are the masters of escape (Even moreso than Rogues.). Why do I say this? You can break any snare/root with shapeshift.

The shapeshifting is meant to be there purely for the reason of emergency situations or to get adapt to a situation a normal healer could not. They are not meant for you to become a warrior or a rogue. That’s just my personal view on it.

So to the “bloggist”, here is a tip on the Magmadar Fight. Niether him nor his hounds use any magic that fight other than the occasional pyroblast. Your two offtanks that are hititng the hounds should have AMPLIFY MAGIC on them, since the hounds cast no spells. It REALLY helps the healers conserve mana.

Just my two cents ^ ^.
