This entry was supposed to have information about my latest journeys thru Azeroth, but because of things that happened a couple of days ago, it changed.

For some reason sometimes thinking about it has a funny part of it. I’ve been playing World of Warcraft since February 2005 (I played on Closed Beta as well). While in Closed Beta, I was member of Arsenal, one of the biggest guilds in Mal’ganis. When I joined retail, on Feb/05, I joined Arsenal again, but I think that it wasn’t the same as it was before; we didn’t have enough people. I leveled my main character, which in those times was Tarasque, a rogue, and it ended up in Arsenal breaking because of instances like Molten Core, it was so hard for us to get a group, since we couldn’t get 40 people, and for whatever reason, well, it blew; everyone left. Then I joined Needs Food Badly, which was a social guild. It was a pretty nice guild, there were cool people, but the raid factor was limited because; social guild, not enough people T_T I think that after that I left and joined a new guild that was formed, called Horizon, which broke two weeks or so after it opened… I moved to Self Titled, this was by November 2005, and it was until recent (around march of this year) that I left (there’s an entry somewhere about why I left, don’t really want to go off-topic with it again). It has been around two months or so that I became member of Praetorian Guards. PG was great, awesome people (FM rules), great leadership, but for a couple of weeks I’ve been feeling it’s not what I’ve been looking.

No, I didn’t say that moving like that is funny. But, seeing myself, and thinking about it, just makes me laugh sometimes. My brother would say that I change too much, lol. What I’m looking? I can’t really tell. Even tho PG wasn’t a Core Raiding group (40 people always raiding, with a few alts), most of the times I never had problems getting into the raids. What could it be? As I said, I can’t really tell (I wish I could explain myself in spanish, lol, but most of the people that read my blog don’t speak spanish T_T). Maybe I made an error by leaving PG, considering that we could say that BWL is on farm status, we beated Chromaggus with Time Lapse and Ignite Flesh, and we were working on AQ40? Who knows, but the future will tell. And even tho I joined and got three pieces of Stormrage, and got help with my FR set, I was also the druid with highest assistance, and left with more than 200 DKP.

Where am I going now? Yesterday I joined Ex Umbra, which is a guild that was kinda recently formed (they have a couple of months of existance, tho). They were one of the raiding teams of Myths Fury (which was one of the biggest guilds in Mal’Ganis, had like three or so raiding teams). My friend, Eilianna, which I know from Self Titled, sent me an in-game mail a couple of days ago about a spot available there (after I left Self Titled, Ex Umbra was the second guild I applied, after they said I couldn’t make the raid time, I applied in PG). Eilianna and I were the druid leaders back in Self Titled. Anyway, after talking with a few people in Ex Umbra, I was told that the spot available was for an AltRaider, but I was also told that I could work my way up, and you all can bet, I will work my way up. The main issue I see is their raid time start, the same time I get out of work, but lets see how it works out. They [Ex Umbra] are a hardcore raiding guild.

As some of you have noticed, I haven’t updated for a couple of days. I wanted to wait until something big happened, and post it there. Not a common post, had to be something special, and since we [PG] have been progressing awesomely during this week, I felt that that space could be filled up by Nefarian. The truth is: he laughed at me.

Incredible. But, would you give up with this?

For the last couple of days the raid leaders have been working so hard on getting Nefarian down. I felt he was going down, and you could see our progress, we basically cleaned BWL in two days (all bosses up to Chromaggus and Nefarian in one day), and had the rest of the week to try Nefarian. Those are two of the few attempts we have made on these days. Would you let this let you down? We wiped, but we learned, isn’t that the point of all?
If you thought that we [PG] would give up on something like this, it seems you don’t really know who Praetorian Guards are, nor what we are made of, I hope this can help you

Thanks to everyone that trusted the raid leaders, everyone that was there, everyone that believed in what was promised and said. I personally want to thank everyone, but specially to Craden and Ignacio, for such a great leading. They, nor the class leaders, let it go down. This is such a great accomplishment for everyone!

We had a couple of attempts today, around four or five. On the first attempt we made it to Phase Two smoothly, flawless, and very fast. For some reason I felt that it was sooo easy, lol. By the way, and making a brief stop, I got Subtlety enchant ([item]Formula: Enchant Cloak – Subtlety[/item]) to my cloak a couple of days ago. Ok, keeping on. On all but one attempt we made it to Phase Two, and after the second or so attempt we could make it to Phase Three, wiping at 19% (I took the screenshot and he vanished a couple of seconds after he got to 19%, I missed it). On the attempt in which we took him down, the ones in charge of the adds on the Third Phase did such a great job, I almost died to the zerg, but I could come out alive, The zerg (construct guys) died very very fast, and like no deaths (or very few ones) while they were up. Then.. BANG, Nefarian down Yep, it might have been a while since BWL was introduced, but everyone has to start somewhere, right? I almost forgot to mention that we also tried to get Onyxia’s Buff and Zul’Gurub’s buff, which helped us on the first couple of attempts; on the last one we didn’t have it and we still beated some arse
