A couple of hours ago we had an AQ40 run, and, for some reason, I kept dying.
Why, I kept asking to myself. At least a couple of days ago on Blackwing Lair I was able to reduce my aggro, meaning that I was able to reduce my deaths as well. For me this whole issue is very important, mainly because one of my main goals is to become one of the best druids out there, as a healer (unlike other people that use the “game” as an excuse to be mediocre).
You see, most druids have to have a healing role, and most of the times it’s not because they want to, but because they are forced to (a guild needs healing, right?). On my case, I enjoy healing because, unlike DPS (keep in mind that I have a rogue), I find healing a lot more challenging.
So, during the run (I was pissed as usual) I opened a ticket and spoke with a GM, after speaking with him I read this:
Threat Reduction Effects
This system has been redesigned to eliminate inconsistency in how the effects work. Previously, some were additive (for example: 30% reduction + 20% reduction = 50% reduction) while others were multiplicative (30% reduction and 20% reduction made 44% reduction, from 0.7*0.8). They are now all multiplicative. This also prevents unpredictable behavior when the total reduction percentage was equal to or greater than 100%. Please note that in almost all cases, when stacking multiple threat reduction effects you will experience less threat reduction than previously.
This was explained to me by Grombel. Anyway, I made some math, based in what I just wrote.
5/5 Subtlety Talent gives 20% aggro reduce, which is 0.20 = 0.80
Subtlety Enchant on Cloak gives me 2% aggro reduce, which is 0.02 = 0.98
So far, without any buff this = 21% aggro reduce.
Now, since I’m alliance, I get Blessing of Salvation
Blessing of Salvation gives 30% aggro reduce, which is 0.30 = 0.70
Adding all this up I jump to 45%. If I can get my hands on a [item]Fetish of the Sand Reaver[/item] (70% aggro reduce, which is 0.70 = 0.30) I would raise my aggro reduce to 83%, at least for the duration of the buff.
Meh, I might continue about the topic one of these days.

Earth Shock (2.5K), Skeram will start casting earth shock on the person that is highest on his aggro list ONLY, if this person is not in melee range. If he is tanked correctly and the current aggroholder stays within melee range, no earth shock will be fired. He does not do this randomly.

Last week we had very good attempts on C’Thun, we still have to work out Phase 2, but we’ve been successfully getting into it on like all attempts.
I’m also now able to make [item]Icy Scale Gauntlets[/item], [item]Polar Gloves[/item], [item]Icy Scale Bracers[/item] and [item]Polar Bracers[/item]

(I think I missed what dropped on an Onyxia run we had a couple of days ago) And again, the darn [item]Rejuvenating Gem[/item] didn’t drop T.T Even tho I don’t have the [item]Stormrage Pauldrons[/item] (and I was next on line) I passed on it, not really interested (at least for now).
Now, since my last post, Fres and me have been trying to work out why I’ve been dying so much, and I’m glad to say that the problem is almost fixed, lol, I’ve hardly been dying lately (only dying to things I can’t even avoid and/or someone not doing what they are supposed to do), and I’ve also hardly been pulling aggro, woot!
Before I end up, to those asking about what I use to link items on my blog, it’s a WordPress plugin called Itemstats. I tweaked a bit a few things, but more for looks than functionality.
