Healers always have the fault, seriously.

Before I get into details of why the title, lets start with the raids I’ve been so far since my last post.

[item]Barrage Shoulders[/item] — Skeram
[item]Boots of the Redeemed Prophecy[/item] — Skeram
[item]Plans: Thick Obsidian Breastplate[/item] — Skeram
[item]Robes of the Battleguard[/item] — Sartura
[item]Recomposed Boots[/item] — Sartura
[item]Pauldrons of the Unrelenting[/item] — Fankriss
[item]Silithid Carapace Chestguard[/item] — Fankriss
[item]Cloak of the Golden Hive[/item] — Huhuran
[item]Qiraji Bindings of Command[/item] — Huhuran
[item]Qiraji Bindings of Dominance[/item] — Huhuran

We had a couple of issues in that run, which was last tuesday: we couldn’t take down Twin Emperors, but we will tonight. I’m not really sure if we will be able to try C’Thun because there’s still trash after Twin Emperors… Yet again, [item]Wasphide Gauntlets[/item] didn’t drop, nor the [item]Creeping Vine Helm[/item] or the [item]Ring of the Martyr[/item]. The [item]Qiraji Bindings of Dominance[/item] (for the [item]Genesis Boots[/item]) are a set drop (set as in set and also as in always dropping), but I wasn’t able to grab it. That item is not a priority for druids… so it might take a while for me to upgrade my [item]Cenarion Boots[/item] T.T

[item]Netherwind Bindings[/item] — Razor
[item]Nemesis Bracers[/item] — Razor
[item]Gloves of Rapid Evolution[/item] — Razor
[item]Dragonstalker’s Belt[/item] — Vael
[item]Bloodfang Belt[/item] — Vael
[item]Dragonfang Blade[/item] — Vael
[item]Draconic Maul[/item] — Trash mob
[item]Boots of Transcendence[/item] — Broodlord
[item]Nemesis Boots[/item] — Broodlord
[item]Lifegiving Gem[/item] — Broodlord
[item]Drake Talon Pauldrons[/item] — Firemaw
[item]Legguards of the Fallen Crusader[/item] — Firemaw
[item]Drake Fang Talisman[/item] — Ebonroc
[item]Netherwind Gloves[/item] — Ebonroc
[item]Shroud of Pure Thought[/item] — Flamegor
[item]Nemesis Gloves[/item] — Flamegor
[item]Dragonstalker’s Spaulders[/item] — Chrom
[item]Judgement Spaulders[/item] — Chrom
[item]Empowered Leggings[/item] — Chrom
[item]Shimmering Geta[/item] — Chrom
[item]Breastplate of Wrath[/item] — Nefarian
[item]Dragonstalker’s Breastplate[/item] — Nefarian
[item]Cloak of the Brood Lord[/item] — Nefarian
[item]Therazane’s Link[/item] — Nefarian

Sadly the [item]Rejuvenating Gem[/item] didn’t drop, darn! It’s like the only thing I need from Blackwing Lair (well, I could pick up some feral gear, but I want to get improve my healing gear first, so that gets priority, hehehe).

Before I start on the title, I haven’t updated because today is my last vacation day (I start work again tomorrow, boo). Ok, Why do I say that healers always have the fault. For the last couple of weeks I’ve been dying a lot, I’m not saying that I never die, but I’ve never died this much, lol.

Of all my “life” as a healer (or more like since I made my druid and took the healing role), it’s common to listen these two things:

  • If a tank dies. The healers took too long to heal him, they blow, they should learn how to heal. It can’t be because the tank got crushed, got hit by a critical, or any other reason.
  • If a healer dies. Dude, you have to learn to manage your healing aggro, go learn how to heal. It can’t be because some other class wasn’t doing their job.

Somehow healers are the ones to be blamed. Now, I’m not saying I’ve been blamed or anything, but as of my personal experience, it’s what people usually think. Technically speaking my druid shouldn’t be dying too much, considering that he has talents in Sublety, which gives a 20% aggro reduce (and even people think that it’s a waste to put points here), the Subtlety enchant (I’m not really sure how much aggro it reduces) and since I’m in the alliance, I get the Blessing of Salvation (reduces aggro by 30%). Taking all of these into consideration, I shouldn’t be pulling aggro off people, at least not that easily.

Now, of what I’ve noticed, it’s usually common for me to die on these situations (some of them):

  • In Blackwing Lair, after Broodlord, the trash between him and Ebonroc. Somehow I pull aggro on the goblins and even on the giant guys -_-
  • In Ahn’Qiraj, trash, as an example the trash that is between Huhuran and the Twin Emperors (the big guys that summon dudes), also the trash between the Twin Emperors and C’Thun.

I can’t figure out why I die. Not like I’m spamming big heals like crazy: obviously I do big heals when it’s needed, but most of the times my heals consist in rejuvenations, which is a big heal but over time (right now my rejuvenation ticks for around 442). Also, not like I’m healing like crazy, on my healing order, this is what I usually do:

  1. Rejuvenation (AQ20 Book).
  2. Swiftmend.
  3. Nature’s Touch (4, 7, 11).
  4. Regrowth (highest, don’t remember what number), it’s kinda strange that I use this spell, but from time to time I do, I’ve rarely died from this, tho.

I also use the [item]Zandalarian Hero Charm[/item], but to tell the truth I’ve never died when I have the buff on it. I keep questioning myself why I die so much (ok, sometimes it’s not that bad, but on other times, I don’t remember from where we started, but by the time we reached C’Thun I was almost full broken, if not fully broken, and it was only trash). I’ve tried asking in WoW forums, but I haven’t gotten any response to my question yet, and I don’t know many people that know about the aggro topic (and druids).

Meh, what can I do. Compared to priests, we don’t have any really aggro reduce skill (like fade), and our only option when we pull aggro (or get aggro, whatever it is) is to shift in bear and pray for someone to pull the mob and get healed, or like rogues that can feint and/or vanish, hunters that can feign, paladins that can bubble, etc. I’ve been thinking for a while on getting a [item]Fetish of the Sand Reaver[/item] (yes, I know how it works, it doesn’t reduce the aggro that has already been produced, but it reduces the aggro of anything casted or done within the 20 seconds, and I think it has a 2 minute cooldown), but I also need a couple of things in Ahn’Qiraj that have a very low drop rate and that all druids need as well, lol.

I just can’t understand if I’m doing something wrong? On the “data” side, I am not, but then, it’s happening. Sigh, I just hope that this dying thing ends, it’s getting frustrating.

Trinklet Druid, lolol.

For a very long while I’ve wanted to get a [item]Heart of Hakkar[/item], and it was since my last update that I managed to grab one in a PuG Zul’Gurub run (Pick-up-Group). Somehow 20-man runs have been hard to get, most people have lost the interest on them. On my side, I love doing Zul’Gurub and Ahn’Qiraj 20 ^_^

Anyway, without going offtopic, I chose a [item]Zandalarian Hero Charm[/item], the first charge of it makes my rejuvenations tick for 523-524. Then I used the second charge on a swiftmend, and it hit for 2040, which is awesome ^_^ Yeah, I know that using trinklets that boost stuff isn’t very reliable (at least not for healers), but I’ve always wanted one (before the nerf that the item got, tho). Still, what can I say, I got it free, lol, and it’s a fun toy to play with until I can get something better (which would be a [item]Rejuvenating Gem[/item], or similar). My only concern is using that, getting a crit heal and insta killed by pulling aggro -_- Heh, now sometimes I even forget that I have the trinklet so I don’t use it that often, hahaha.

Getting a bit more into how I got the trinklet (and now that I see the screenshots), for some reason I’ve always believed that my rolls suck; most of the times my rolls are so low that if the one that won was the lowest I would win -_- Now, this was a miracle, lol

Maybe it was destiny? lolol.

On other news, last week we [TR] had some attempts on C’Thun, and we successfully got into Phase 2 at least three or four times :)

It’s just a matter of time now ^_^

[item]Netherwind Crown[/item] — Onyxia
[item]Dragonstalker’s Helm[/item] — Onyxia
[item]Ring of Binding[/item] — Onyxia

We didn’t do Blackwing Lair last week :(

Before I end

091206-05

Last week some of us [TR] ran Molten Core with two other guilds. I wasn’t going for loots at all, I all wanted was to get exalted with Hydraxian Waterlords (and, by the way, I’m now exalted with them, lol), but on the run this guy, Draerius, a 60 Dwarf Priest decided that it was fun to grab all the content of Majordomo’s Chest. Nothing really “that” important, anyway, and nothing he could have used (he already had [item]Benediction[/item], but watching the screenshots maybe he could have used the [item]Sash of Whispered Secrets[/item]? No clue), but still, I don’t know how people can find it funny, because there were a couple of guys in the run that could have used it. The run was a “you can roll on anything you need” and things like that, so it was very flexible, so there shouldn’t be even a need for that, lol.

After that happened the guy got kicked from his guild (the guy was a new member of Fusion), and then he joined a guild called Numb. I told their Guild Master about him, and even tho it seemed that the Guild Master was concerned about it, the guy is still in the guild. Oh well, good luck for him, personally I wouldn’t like to have a guy like him in a raid on a place like what, Ahn’Qiraj or even Naxxramas, with the potential of him doing it again, for fun, or for whatever he feels like.

Meh, yeah, it’s Molten Core, nothing really important (as some may say), but then, it’s not what he picked up, it’s just that he did it. Things like that are always sad, I remember the first Nefarian kill of a guild called Myths Fury (which split into different guilds, one of them is very progressed in my server), the whole loot was ninjaed by a druid, and among the loot was a [item]Stormrage Chestguard[/item]. The reputation of the guild on those times wasn’t that good, but still, it doesn’t matter, picking up stuff and ruining the raid for everyone is hard to believe to be fun for someone.

Oh well…

Lord Kazzak

090606-01

Following the defeat of the Burning Legion at the end of the Third War, the remaining enemy forces, led by the colossal demon Lord Kazzak, pulled back to the Blasted Lands. They continue to dwell there to this day in an area called the Tainted Scar, awaiting the reopening of the Dark Portal. It is rumored that once the Portal is reopened, Kazzak will travel with his remaining forces to Outland. Once the orc homeworld of Draenor, Outland was ripped apart by the simultaneous activation of several portals created by the orc shaman Ner’zhul, and now exists as a shattered world occupied by legions of demonic agents under command of the night elf betrayer, Illidan.

Just a couple of hours ago I saw, for the very first time, Lord Kazzak. He’s a world-boss that spawns in Blasted Lands, and let me tell you, at first I was kinda scared because people were talking about explosions and things like that… but it was amazing how easy the dude was, lol. This is what he dropped

[item]18204en[/item]
[item]Fel Infused Leggings[/item]
[item]The Eye of Shadow[/item]

We got around 8g each, we were like what… 21? BANG

This was our AQ run last tuesday

[item]Cloak of Concentrated Hatred[/item] – Skeram
[item]Ring of Swarming Thought[/item] – Skeram
[item]Gloves of Enforcement[/item] – Sartura
[item]Thick Qirajihide Belt[/item] – Sartura
[item]Imperial Qiraji Armaments[/item] – Sartura
[item]21645en[/item] – Fankriss
[item]Mantle of Wicked Revenge[/item] – Fankriss
[item]Cloak of the Golden Hive[/item] – Huhuran
[item]Qiraji Bindings of Command[/item] – Huhuran
[item]Qiraji Bindings of Dominance[/item] – Huhuran
[item]Gloves of the Hidden Temple[/item] – Emperor Vek’nilash
[item]20926en[/item] – Emperor Vek’nilash
[item]Qiraji Execution Bracers[/item] – Emperor Vek’lor
[item]20930en[/item] – Emperor Vek’lor

It was probably the fastest AQ40 run I’ve ever seen. We trucked the whole place so fast, we did have a couple of issues with Huhuran and the Twin Emperors, but nothing that couldn’t be fixed. I think that, since it’s the second week we successfully take down the Twin Emperors, it’s safe to say that they are on farm status. This week we might have a couple of attempts on C’Thun.

After AQ40 we did a very fast Onyxia run

[item]Ancient Cornerstone Grimoire[/item]
[item]16939en[/item]
[item]Judgement Crown[/item]

To end this entry, a couple of days ago I was doing Arathi Basin, and it was so sad to watch this

090606-02

Kalysto, an Undead Mage from the Turalyon Server, exploiting the terrain in the Battleground. It’s the first time ever I see someone standing up there, and I believe none in the raid knew, because he remained there the entire match sniping (spelling?) people, some of the raid would shoot him, but he would get out of line of sight and bandage/eat. He also had support from the group, so it was kinda hard to reach him. That roof is just besides the flag, so capping it was also impossible with him shooting.

It’s sad that people have to use exploits like this to win battlegrounds.
