A couple of days ago I decided to change one of the professions of my rogue alt (which used to be my main, btw, I’ve never really had a chance to equip him so he’s mostly in blues, hehe). Before he was 300 gnome engineering and 300 Miner, switched mining for herbalism. This is because my brother’s main is 300 Miner already, so I could get some kind of advantage of having a high level character that can pick herbs (and being a rogue gives me an edge somehow, he also has an epic mount). Anyway, I found this and thought that keeping engineering might be a good idea (for the expansion).

Talking about that, I might have to level my gnome warlock (Rihal) from 36 to 60 so he can keep making pots for me when The Burning Crusade comes. This is because you no longer will be able to learn high level stuff on low level characters (or so I read somewhere). I also got a lowbie tailoring gnome mage (Conjurus), but he’s not that high on skill for now (at least compared to my warlock, which is making me some nice pots). It only took me around two or three days to level my alt rogue into 300 herbalism, by the way.

2 more days…

Insane

A couple of days ago someone linked this item in guild chat… tell me that it’s not insane, lol

That’s a [item]Hammer of the Twisting Nether[/item], which is dropped by Kel’Thuzad, hee hee hee ^_^ If I’m not wrong, on my server (Mal’Ganis) there are, at least, four or five guilds that have already killed him, two horde and three alliance.

These have been our raidz

[item]Stormrage Bracers[/item] — Razorgore
[item]Bloodfang Bracers[/item] — Razorgore
[item]The Black Book[/item] — Razorgore

[item]Helm of Endless Rage[/item] — Vael
[item]Boots of Transcendence[/item] — Broodlord
[item]Judgement Sabatons[/item] — Broodlord
[item]Lifegiving Gem[/item] — Broodlord

After that we could fill up the raid so we headed to Naxxramas, heheh

[item]Ring of the Eternal Flame[/item] — Trash mob
[item]Signet of the Fallen Defender[/item] — Razuvious
[item]Desecrated Boots[/item] — Razuvious

Ohh, and… 4 days;)

Edit: I totally forgot to say that Blizzard has announced already the official launch date for The Burning Crusade:

PARIS, France. – 9 November, 2006 – Blizzard Entertainment® announced today that World of Warcraft®: The Burning Crusade™, the highly anticipated expansion to the world’s leading subscription-based massively multiplayer online role-playing game, World of Warcraft, will be in stores on January 16th in North America and Europe. The expansion will be available in a similar time frame in Korea, Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore as well, and availability for mainland China and the regions of Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau will be announced in the near future. In addition, Blizzard today announced that the subscriber base for World of Warcraft has reached a new milestone, with 7.5 million players worldwide.

Server down!

Kristchex made a video of our Patchwerk’s kill last night. It’s not the first guild kill, tho (just to clear that up, hehe), and it’s from a Priest PoV (and this is when I say that it might probably mean Point of View). I know it’s boring, but hey! I’m somewhere in that footage, lol ^^ By the way, this is the very first time I post a video on my blog.

Drops of yesterday’s raid

[item]Libram of Light[/item] — Noth
[item]Desecrated Belt[/item] — Noth
[item]Splinter of Atiesh[/item] — Noth
[item]Band of Reanimation[/item] — Patchwerk
[item]Desecrated Spaulders[/item] — Patchwerk
[item]Splinter of Atiesh[/item] — Patchwerk
[item]Toxin Injector[/item] — Grobbulus
[item]Desecrated Spaulders[/item] — Grobbulus

Have I said that I hate Patchwerk? (heheh Cornpo). The way Pulse did Grobbulus was slightly different of what I did when I was in SR, but at the end it worked out. Ohh, and this is how the Toxin Injector looks like

Mal’Ganis is going to be down 24 hours.

The following realms will be taken down for extended maintenance on Tuesday, November 7 at 12:00 AM PST. This maintenance is expected to extend until Wednesday, November 8th at 12:00 PM PST. During this time, we will be transferring data onto a new storage solution in preparation for the forthcoming expansion. This continues the preparation we have been doing with all of our realms to optimize hardware and performance in the future. We appreciate your patience as we continue to improve upon the service provided.

The good thing about Pulse is (and something I like) their schedule: officially we don’t raid (at least for now) tuesdays, which I’ve always said it’s a good idea so any kind of possible problem that might arise with the maintenance and would delay the raid days could be avoided.

This is something I just read in worldofwar.net (one of my favorites fansites, btw)

If you’re wondering about the 25 man raids and whether they will require less time, Blizzard states:

We expect that the overall completion time of one 25-person raid dungeon will be less than the completion time for a 40-person raid.

A lot of this ‘saved time’ will come from preparation and organization of the raid, not necessarily due to the difficulty or expanse of the dungeon, itself. We expect to see a reduction of time from “when we decide to start a raid” to “when we actually zone into the raid.

Hmm… what else… I’m almost sure I was going to say a couple more things but it seems I forgot what was it, oh well, maybe next time.
