Magtheridon

040807-01

Magtheridon, the former Lord of Outland, was a Pit Lord who conquered the ruins of the orcish homeworld following its destruction. But his reign was ended by the arrival of Illidan Stormrage, who took Magtheridon’s throne at the Black Temple for himself. Deciding that Magtheridon would have a further part to play, Illidan had Magtheridon’s body dragged to the Hellfire Citadel where he imprisoned the Pit Lord, leaving him at the mercy of the fel orcs. His rumbling cries are heard throughout the Hellfire Citadel. One particular thing is that his wardens are not fel orcs, but normal green-skinned orcs. It seems that Illidan is keeping Magtheridon alive for the sole reason to create more fel orcs under his rule. Players will probably fight Magtheridon in a greatly weakened state like Vaelastrasz, as he has blood draining out of him every moment. After all, even Illidan could not have defeated him had it been not for Kael’thas, Akama and Lady Vashj.

We’ve been trying Magtheridon lately. Here are a couple of screenshots

Hey, Lions! Yeah, I leveled resto up to 64, then changed to feral (because it was kinda hard to get groups going) and stayed like that after being told I could probably tank in Karazhan.

Right now in the guild there are only two feral druids, the other one is Zaddik. He tanks in Team 1 (Syras’ group), I tank in Team 2 (Phoenix’s group).

Gahlok, I came to your blog for the healing guide back before TBC and have followed it on and off since then. When your guild started forming extra teams for Karazhan you mentioned some sort of raid group charter. As an officer in my guild we are struggling with how to best control all our Kara groups so we do not get spread thin. Can you elaborate on this raid group charter stuff for me so I can understand it a little better. It sounds like it might be something we could use.

Thanks! And keep the blog coming it’s fun to read about the adventures of a fellow druid.

@Morrow: I’m not really sure if I understand correctly; you want to know how the raids are made of or how the groups are made?

    Just in case

My current raid group is formed like this

    1 Protection Warrior
    1 Feral Druid

    1 Warlock
    2 Mages
    1 Rogue
    1 Enhance Shaman

    2 Priests
    1 Paladin

Then we got like 4 raid groups:

    2 full Pulse
    2 Mixed Pulse

The first full pulse group is led by the GM, the second full pulse group is led by a co-gm.

Thanks for the reply, I think I goofed. I thought I had read back in January on your blog that you had gotten into a Kara group in your guild and that there was some sort of charter process to form the groups. I must have read that somewhere else. The idea intrigued me and I wanted to learn more about it to see if it was some sort of control freak thing or something that actually worked well for a large guild wanting to run many autonomous groups.
