They were probably getting reports from cancellations that people had nothing to do back in the "uber hard" raid days. The "hard mode" in an "easy mode" instance idea just makes sense. It really keeps everyone happy. Truthfully, the only thing I have a complaint with Blizzard about, is the quality of the servers. We can't raid on Tuesdays anymore (and a couple other days for that matter), because so many guilds are raiding. This has been happening for many many months. You would think they would put a little more money into the servers to keep this from happening, rather than keep sinking money into other things.
