For months I’ve been getting burnt of the game (booooooooring~), a couple of weeks ago I took a slight break of the game to see if it helped, but I can’t say I was missing it. So, effective today, my account has been cancelled.
I would have probably cancelled earlier, but I was waiting to finish the Brewfest event since it was the only one that I had missing for the Violet Proto-Drake.

Here are a couple of screenshots with my brother
I played World of Warcraft for over 4 years, started almost at the end of the Closed Beta (which ended somewhere around September – October 2004), went to retail in February 2005 and, since then, been playing the game. This is actually the first time I ever quit, and I really doubt I will come back unless something really good happens (Cataclysm? Nah, kinda ironic that they are just remaking old content with just a couple of new things, with all the money they are making —compared to other companies— can’t they be a bit more creative).
There are many other reasons of why I got tired of the game (so many stats to keep an eye, having to use spreadsheets and such to find out which loot was best, then stats changed and you had to remake it, monotony, etc.).
The game was probably fun until the last couple of months, for some reason I ended up thinking that WoW was just playing 5-6 hours a day, 5 days a week, which seemed like a job (and not enough room to make other stuff). There were even weeks that I would raid 6 days per week, there’s not much fun about it.
I recall my first guild was Arsenal. I remember my rogue when it was main and after a while I ended up having to make a new character because I would have trouble getting runs (there’s when my druid was created and became the new main). I used to be resto all the way until 74, from there (up to 80) I switched feral.
After all the playing, I got three level 80’s (Alliance: Druid, Paladin Horde: Death Knight), two 7x’s (Alliance: Hunter and Rogue) and a bunch more lowbies. Probably the one I had the most fun leveling was the Death Knight, and that’s considering I had no money or heirloom items. My characters were born in Mal’Ganis, and I never moved out or leveled characters in other servers.
I haven’t moved yet to any new game, but I’ve been reading about (and checking) two: Champions Online and Aion. I’m just waiting to see how things turn out and then decide which one I will get on (I haven’t played any of them). I do admit I’ve been playing Mafia Wars lately (hehehe).
This website is one of the first WoW Blogs that came out back when the game was launched (along with Hogit). Ever since a hype for blogs and wow-related websites came out and a lot more people joined the blog ranks. Heck, if you searched in Google WoW Blog my website would come out ranked #1, until a bigger website organization came out and is currently ranked #1; can’t really compete (hehe).
I’d like to thank all of you, the readers, for keeping company on my website for so long. Keep in mind that the site is not dying, as soon as I decide where I’m going I’ll probably start writing about it. Probably in a couple of weeks there is more information regarding this.
